Creating your LocumLink profile takes about 5 minutes. You'll provide your basic professional information — name, specialty, qualifications, and preferred locations.

Once your profile is complete, you'll be guided through the verification process. This typically involves uploading your NMC registration certificate and a valid photo ID.

After verification, you can set your availability and start browsing opportunities that match your specialty and schedule.

Verification on LocumLink confirms that your professional credentials are valid and current. This builds trust with hospitals and protects your reputation.

During verification, you may be asked to provide: your NMC registration certificate, a government-issued photo ID, and relevant qualification documents.

Most verifications are completed within 24 hours. In some cases, additional documentation may be requested, which can extend the timeline.

Once verified, your profile displays a verified badge that hospitals can see when reviewing your applications.

After verification, you can browse available shifts filtered by specialty, location, date, and shift type (emergency, locum, part-time, permanent).

Each shift listing shows the hospital name, specialty required, timing, location, pay rate, and any additional requirements.

You can save shifts for later or apply directly through the platform. When you apply, the hospital receives your verified profile and can review your credentials.

After you apply, the hospital reviews your profile and either confirms or declines your application. You'll receive a notification either way.

Once confirmed, the shift details — including reporting time, location, and specific instructions — are available in your dashboard.

If you need to cancel a confirmed shift, you can do so through the platform. Cancellation policies are outlined in our terms.

After completing a shift, the hospital confirms your attendance through the platform. Payment is then processed within 48 hours to your registered bank account.

All payments are tracked through the platform, providing a clear record for tax and accounting purposes.

If there are any payment issues, you can raise a dispute through the platform or contact our support team.

You can update your profile information, availability, and preferences at any time from your dashboard.
